We are assembling a welding crew for a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) decommissioning project , commencing November 2025 with expected completion around March/April 2026. This is a unique large-scale infrastructure project requiring skilled Flux Core Welders to join a high-performing team. The Roles Multiple welder positions available for both day and night shifts (12 hours each) Roster pattern (to be confirmed) – either: • 6 shifts out of every 8 days, or • 14 shifts out of every 21 days (7-3-7-4) All welding performed underground , with appropriate respirators supplied and fume extraction in place PPE supplied : welding jackets three work shirts provided to all team members Welding Test Scope 25mm thick mild steel 1.2mm MIG & Flux Cored Wire MIG root run, flux core fill and cap Weld procedure includes: • 3 butt welds – horizontal down hand, vertical up, overhead • 1 fillet weld – overhead What We’re Looking For Trade qualified (Cert III) welders preferred, though not essential Previous coded/ticketed welders encouraged to apply Strong flux core welding experience in structural/heavy fabrication Ability to work safely in an underground environment White Card required; additional tickets advantageous Visa welders may be considered (subject to additional approvals) Based in Sydney, Australia - No FIFO / DIDO Available What’s on Offer $52ph overtime site allowance $5ph Site Allowance 12-hour shifts, long rosters, and consistent work through project duration Opportunity to work on a landmark Sydney infrastructure project Full PPE and clothing supplied How to Apply If you are an experienced Flux Core Welder ready to take on a challenging and rewarding project, apply now to secure your place on this crew.
